Track Name: Just Bend
Just Bend
words and music by Tom Hitt ©2011

It's never easy meeting people half-way
What would please me, bring to me your sad day

Never ending - I will lift your sorrow
So attending, you help me tomorrow

So I bend, then you bend, we don't break - Just Bend

Like a willow changing with the season
Winds that billow call for quiet reason

All the nations rising in their powers
Hold their stations- seconds change to hours
And they bend, so we bend, we don't break - Just Bend
Track Name: Lick My Wounds
Lick My Wounds
words and music by Tom Hitt ©2011

Well I've been all around the east coast
From Erie down to Jacksonville
And every little town I pull into
Well, they make me feel at home until-
I play a little close to those pretty girls
And then the boys say they don't like my tunes
That's the time that I know I better pack up and go-
Get back home and lick my wounds
Get back home and lick my wounds

I've been known to visit the west coast
From L.A. up to 'Frisco Bay
And I sure dig those Santa Cruz sunsets,
But a little goes a long, long way

'Cause if I play a little close to those pretty girls
Then the boys come crawlin' outa the dunes-
That's the time that I know I better pack up and go-
Get back home and lick my wounds
Get back home and lick my wounds

Well I sure do like to travel the deep south
From El Paso back to Baton Rouge
And though I speak a little spanish and a little bit of french
The language that I sing is the blues

But when I play a little close to those pretty girls
And the fights kick up inside the saloons
That's the time that I know I better pack up and go-
Get back home and lick my wounds
Get back home and lick my wounds
Track Name: Superhero Kid
Superhero Kid
words and music by Tom Hitt ©2011

Superhero Kid - Scalin' the wall like a spider-Man!
Superhero Kid - Doin' the best that he can

Tin foil cowl and a bath towel cape
Runnin' all around the yard
Hidin' in the alley where the bad guys go,
Always on his guard

Superhero Kid - Flyin' so high don't know where he'll land
Superhero Kid - Doin' the best that he can

Faster than a bullet and strong as steel
Just like a *flash* he's gone!
Savin' all the people that he cares about-
Until the street light's on.

Superhero Kid - Every earthly power at his command
Superhero Kid - Doin' the best that he can

Superhero Kid - Everyone in town is his biggest fan
Superhero Kid - Doin' the best that he can

Doin' the best that he can
Track Name: We Could Never Be That Way
As the night falls on the city,
As the day draws to a close
You grab your purse, put on your raincoat
That's the time I need you most

'Cause we have worked so hard together
Despite it all your feelings stray
But I believe in star-crossed lovers,

We could never be that way

And as I watch you through the window
You turn your collar to the rain
As two young lovers splash each other

We could never be that way
Track Name: Far From The Madding Crowd
Far From The Madding Crowd
words and music by Tom Hitt ©2011

Far away in the wilderness
Far away from the madding crowd
I can hear your voice calling out to me
Seems to me like you sure took your time

Take your time
There's an ocean inside you where
I'll gladly drown
I Don't mind
I will stay right beside you and
Never slow down
---------------------------
When it's all said and done
You can count on me not to run too-

Far away from your telling glance
Far away from the touch of your hand
I can feel you pulling me next to you
It's like you read every thought in my mind

I Don't mind
I will stay right beside you and
Never slow down
Take your time
There's an ocean inside you where
I'll gladly drown
---------------------------
When it's all said and done
You can count on me not to run too-
Track Name: Elizabeth Off And On
A perfect stranger asked me in his perfect stranger tone; how the world was treating me, yeah how my life is goin' (I said); I haven't been to Germany I've never been to Rome, I haven't seen that many things outside my little home (no).

Walkin' through the neighborhoods of tiny little towns; not too many men in black tie, ladies in their gowns, but I -

I've been seeing someone charming and fun-
You may not believe it, I've been seeing Queen Elizabeth off and on.

So my perfect friend went on to say "Hey, that's good for you! She sounds like just the thing when things are tough to get you through (and I said)- "Yeah, she's seem some hardships, and she's seen a little war, but she always seems to land on top, she always knows the score"-

I've been seeing someone charming and fun-
You may not believe it, I've been seeing Queen Elizabeth off and on.

And there's a moral to the story that I never can disclose - so I left that perfect stranger in the dark with what he knows-

I've been seeing someone charming and fun-
You may not believe it, I've been seeing Queen Elizabeth off and on.
Track Name: What's A Long Time?
What's A Long Time?
words and music by Tom Hitt ©2011

When I was a kid ya know I just couldn't wait
To get all growed up, yeah, to have my way
But tell me what's a long time? yeah, what's a long time?
Back then a day seemed like forever-tell me what's a long time?

I grew outa my teens, I grew outa my jeans,
I couldn't wait to drive and get outa that jive
Tell me what's a long time? yeah, what's a long time?
Back then a week seemed like forever-tell me what's a long time?

Ya know ya hurry and ya scurry to
The Next Big Thing in yer life
Just before ya know it you'll be
wishin' you were back in time

Because ya just turned twenty and yer gettin' yer thrills
Ya got the keys to the car but you ain't payin' the bills
So tell me what's a long time? now what's a long time?
Back then a month seemed like forever-tell me what's a long time?

You meet the pal o' your dreams
And that's the end o' yer schemes
Yer gettin' ready to settle and heat up that kettle
So tell me what's a long time? yeah, what's a long time?
Back then a year seemed like forever-tell me what's a long time?

Ya hurry and ya scurry to
The Next Big Thing in rour life
But just before ya know it you'll be
Wishin' you were back in time; back in time-

Well now I'm pushin fifty, but I'm gettin' my kicks
Just like on that highway- Route sixty six!
But tell me what's a long time? yeah, what's a long time?
It's been so long I can't remember-tell me what's a long time?

Well, tell me what's a long time? yeah, what's a long time?
What's a long time? yeah, what's a long time?
It's been so long I can't remember-tell me what's a long time?
Track Name: Bebe Ti
And in your arms I feel salvation
But in your eyes I see migration
And as the stars shift with the seasons
You seek out all the rhymes and reasons

BeBe Ti, come home with me, BeBe Ti
BeBe Ti, come home with me, BeBe Ti

There are no words to match your graces
A knowing glance from you; the chase is on!
Just as the fates of old decreed it,
Your every challenge, undefeated!

BeBe Ti, come home with me, BeBe Ti
BeBe Ti, come home with me, BeBe Ti
Track Name: In The Biblical Sense
In The Biblical Sense
words and music by Tom Hitt ©2011

You'll find that I am not a guy who easily relents
At cocktail parties you won't find me sitting on the fence
I know it's wrong to come on
Strong among these dames and gents
But I'd like to be acquanted with you in the biblical sense

To look at me you may not see great charm in evidence
The way I dress, well more or less shows little opulence
"Clothes make the man" but understand, I offer recompense
For I'd like to be acquanted with you in the biblical sense

Beauty may be skin deep, and lust may be a sin
But your champagne eyes are such a prize
I hope you can begin-

To understand I'm not a man so brazen and so dense
Believing that a well-tipped hat might make a difference
But nothing ventured, nothing gained is now my reference
So I'd like to be acquanted with you in the biblical sense

Beauty may be skin deep, and lust may be a sin
But your champagne eyes are such a prize
I hope you can begin-

To understand I'm not a man so brazen and so dense
I never dreamed, no never schemed to come off so intense!
But I adore you! More of you's my final inference,
For I'd like to be acquanted with you in the biblical sense

Say you'd like to get to know me better in the biblical sense!
